Jacques prefers to proclaim by sounding his shofar. He regularly joins the walks on the walls, accompanied by his wife and children.

With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless (psalm 8)

Two girls from Mokum (Jewish name of Amsterdam)who came to Jerusalem especially to proclaim Gods promises as watchmen. During their first walk, they were surprised by heavy snowfall.

On the walls with my old friend Carel Heinsius. We played together in the gospel group “Hardop Gedacht” in the past. (This name actually resembles “Neverbesilent” by the way)

Praying at the (closed) Golden Gate. The Arab guard immediately warned the Israeli police. Perhaps he was afraid we would tear down the gate?

It’s absurd that such a group of school children can never walk around without armed guidance in Jerusalem. Not even on the walls. Please pray for peace in Jerusalem!

Somewhere in the streets, we got into a conversation with a Jewish man, Chaim. He wanted to experience a walk on the walls. It turned out to be a great meeting.

Stray cats In Jerusalem, it’s a well known phenomenon in Jerusalem. So, they deserve a photo as well. This is one of our favourites.

Each day is a surprise again. Today, a group of 40 watchmen from Venezuela, Chile, the Philippines, Australia, China, the USA etc.. Celebration on the walls!
